Revlon - Royal
Revlon - Radiant
Sinful Colors - Love Nails
I’m currently on a “no buy” polish ban so I’ve been trying different layered looks lately. Trying to come up with unique looks with the polishes I already have and all. I loved this one ended up looking and wore it for a whole week. In person it’s more teal/brighter than it looks here.
Colors:
Revlon - Royal
Max Factor - Fantasy Fire
This manicure was simultaneously both fun and frustrating to photograph. It was fun just watching all the colors as I moved my hand in several different positions - frustrating because for whatever reason the photos just did not do the polish justice.
I also had a difficult choice going with Royal as I swatched this over OPI - Honk if you love OPI and it was gorgeous like that as well.
Basically I’m in love and I don’t care who knows it, lol.
The Hunger Games - District 8 Nails!
China Glaze - Dress Me Up
Revlon - Blue Slate
Wet ‘n Wild - French White
Dress Me Up is very pretty dusty rose cream. It has excellent coverage (I’m only wearing 1 coat of this). Please, don’t be fooled by these photos, because in person it is not nearly as brown as it looks here.
District Eight is responsible for textiles so this was my attempt at creating a fun quilt like pattern. As you can see it needs some work : )
Glitter-tastic nails that kind of remind me of Space.
NOTD:
2 coats of Revlon - Royal
1 coat of Revlon - Radiant
1 coat of Revlon - Royal
1 coat of China Glaze - Fairy Dust
There’s like a thousand coats of nail polish on my nails right now but I absolutely love them right now. I keep catching myself staring at my nails when I’m supposed to be working. : )
NOTD:
Base: Revlon Colorstay - Blue Slate
Accent: Rimmel - Gold Silk
I love blue nail polish. I think I own more blue polish than any other color. When I saw this as my local CVS I knew I had to add it to my collection.
Blue Slate is kind of a rustic antique blue cream and it’s gorgeous. The formula is super easy to work with and gives excellent coverage in just one coat.
On the accent nail I used a technique I saw on a nail blog that for the life of me I can not remember nor find again. Basically I took my gold polish put a few drops down on my handy piece of plastic and swirled it around with my dotting tool for a few minutes. When the polish became thick and ‘stringy’ I took the strings and began wrapping them across the nail. It was a little time consuming and I can’t imagine using this technique on all ten nails, but I love the look for an accent nail.
